FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Where are you based?
A: I am based in Worcester, Massachusetts, and with this luxury of being located in the heart of Massachusetts, I am able to drive to many wedding locations all over the state as well as Rhode Island, Connecticut, and other New England states.

Q: How long have you been a wedding photographer?
A: I have photographed my first wedding in 2004. Can't believe it's been already over a decade!

Q: Do you travel outside Massachusetts or New England to shoot weddings? Does it cost any extra?

A: Long drives and plane travel are a frequent part of my work. Any wedding within a 2 hour drive does not require any extra travel or fuel fees. If the drive is more than 2 hours I may need to require a hotel to stay one or two nights. It's something we should discuss in person as it will depend on your wedding day timeline and the wedding photo coverage you pick. If plane travel is necessary I do offer an all inclusive coverage of your wedding festivities, anywhere in the world!

Q: I would like you to photograph my wedding! What are the first steps to make it happen?
A: Yay!! That's exciting!! To make sure that I get your message, please fill out the simple contact form on my website. I will then email you back within 24 hours. The more information about your wedding plans you provide, the better and more specific I can be in my initial response. If possible, I would love to meet with you in person to better get to know each other. If you live too far away for that, we may also schedule a Skype chat or a phone call. Once you sign the contract and return it with a deposit, I will lock in your wedding date.

Q: What does it cost to have you photograph our wedding?
A: Each wedding is different and I do my best to accommodate your own preferences and offer you solutions to custom tailor the wedding photography coverage you receive. The custom price quote will reflect the scope of services to be provided, the time of year (peak and low season), and travel expenses when necessary. I offer both hourly coverage for those couples who plan a smaller wedding that likely won't require a lot of time to photograph, and Unlimited hours for more time-demanding weddings. Before and after the wedding you will have the opportunity to add to your wedding coverage or order separately items such as fine art wall portraits and heirloom albums for your home and family. Most couples I've worked with invest anywhere between $3,000 and $6,000 on their photography.

Q: How much is the retainer?
A: The initial retainer is 50% to lock in the date of your wedding. The remaining amount is due two weeks prior to the wedding. If you'd like to spread your expenses over time, please request more information about payment plans.

Q: Our wedding is very small and won't take much time. Do you offer any solutions for smaller weddings?
A: Yes! Absolutely! Whether it is a small wedding or intimate elopement, you deserve the same care and attention to how your amazing memories are captured in photographs. I can offer an hourly rate for events that will require less than six hours of coverage. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weddings require a minimum of six hour coverage during high season, and all other days have a two hour minimum.

Q: Can we add additional hours to our coverage on the wedding day?
A: Yes of course. Each additional hour will be added to your invoice and is required to be paid in full the day of the wedding. If you expect there may be a need for extra few hours, please consider upgrading your coverage before the wedding day, as it may save you money.

Q: How long in advance should we book you for our wedding?
A: The sooner, the better! Usually couples book me 6 to 18 months in advance, but if for any reason you are still looking for a photographer a couple of weeks before the wedding, please don't hesitate to contact me about availability.

Q: Will you photograph our wedding by yourself alone or will you have a second photographer?
A: I often shoot with a second photographer, but that will depend on the coverage option you pick. When I learn a bit more about your wedding day plans, schedules, and locations, I will give you my best recommendation. Even though having that second photographer is a great benefit and can make for a much smoother and more relaxed shooting, not every wedding requires two photographers and I don't want you to feel that you are paying extra for something you could go without.

Q: How many pictures will I get?
A: There is no fixed upper limit on how many pictures you will get, but typically I deliver anywhere between 50 to 100 photos per hour of coverage. The actual number will vary depending on how much time we will have to do Bride & Groom pictures. A wedding ceremony filled with many important rituals and numerous decorative details add up for more shooting opportunities, while a lot of travel time between venues will take away from the time we could be shooting.

Q: Have you ever photographed a wedding in my cultural/religious tradition?
A: Chances are, yes! In an unlikely event that your wedding would be the first for me in a specific tradition, it is still not a problem. I have experienced photographing numerous weddings with each sharing one common thing which is the love and care that the bride and groom have for each other. The traditions and rituals, many familiar and some not so much, are only the matter of planning, organization, and communication. Each couple receives from me a questionnaire which allows me to better prepare for their wedding, so we can avoid any surprises and focus on capturing great moments.

Q: How long before we get to see our wedding pictures? How will you deliver them to us?
A: Your pictures will be ready within eight weeks after your wedding day. You will see them for the first time in your online gallery which will be available for ten years. You will be able to share access to that gallery with your family and friends, and also in social media. From within the gallery you will have the ability to download the photos directly to your own computer and if you wish you may also order professional quality prints. This gallery will also serve as your proofing resource in case you would wish to order an album and other photo products.

Q: Do you offer engagement or any other photo sessions besides the wedding day?
A: Absolutely! And besides e-sessions I also offer sessions such as bridal, trash-the-dress, after-wedding, rehearsal, and other. They are always lots of fun! And after the honeymoon you may also return for maternity, family, and kids photo sessions. Please, let me know if you would be interested in any of those.

Q: Who owns the pictures you take at our wedding?
A: Both you and I. You own the license with the rights to your wedding pictures for personal, non-commercial use. This means you may keep and copy your digital picture files, print them at any photo lab, order photo books, albums, and any other photo products for your own personal use. You may also share them both digitally and in print with your family and friends as long as they use them for non-commercial purposes. If a wedding venue, any other vendor, company, blog or magazine contact you with a request to use your photos in their own advertising, marketing or editorial feature, please tell them to contact me directly and I will be happy to accommodate their request.

Q: Do you shoot digital or film? What type of equipment do you use?
A: Digital! I shoot with professional Canon cameras and lenses. I also have a number of strobes and other accessories for whenever they're needed.

Q: Do you shoot RAW or JPEG?
A: I shoot RAW! It allows for the best flexibility during the editing of the photos.

Q: Can I get all RAW files?
A: You will receive a selection of the best pictures in high-resolution 300dpi JPEG file format. If you want, you may order DNG versions of the files you'll receive with your wedding coverage.

Q: Do you offer albums?
A: Yes! Albums as well as fine art prints and all other products are available as part of the Collections. If you choose a service only coverage, you will also have opportunity to order albums and other products a-la-carte.

Q: Do you offer wedding videography?
A: In this day and age, with available technology and tools, film making is a natural extension of my creative spirit. Over the last decade I've been involved in production of numerous video projects including commercial and wedding films. Now, I am happy to announce that I am also offering video production for a limited number of couples in 2016 with more open dates coming in 2017 and each following year. Reserve your spot and inquire about availability today.
